Recent Events For 2008

New Events
 
February 10th was the 2nd Annual Volunteers' Award Ceremony! It was at Emanuel United Methodist Church. We had over THIRTY awards to give out this year from the White House! We also had several "special" awards to give out! There was a special guest speaker - Steve Oldaker. There was cake and punch following the awards!
 
April 11th and 12th was the Marty Lyons Foundation Children's Gala. All of the ranch families had a wonderful time - we can't wait until next year! We are also looking forward to seeing all the Renegade Riders get their "Wishes!" Thank-you to everyone at the foundation...
 
April 12th, Saturday, was the Spring Fling at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in downtown Brunswick. This was a "FREE" event and open to everyone! It was a beautiful day and everyone had fun and plenty to eat! See you next year!

     RECAP of Events in 2007
    
     1st Annual Volunteers' Award Ceremony was Saturday, March 17, 2007. We would like to say "thanks" to Southside Baptist Church for allowing us to use their church and fellowship hall. Don't forget to start tracking your volunteer hours for the 2007 Awards! "Go Renegades!"
 
     The Ranch attended a horse show in Jacksonville, FL March 24th and 25th. This was a fundraiser and a show that we worked. The volunteers did a wonderful job and we are hoping to do this show every year!
 
     The ranch attended a horse show on March 31st. We took several of our older children, 2 horses and Angel! The children and horses did wonderful! Fun for everyone!
 
October 5th Kerry Kuhn was going to hold a seminar for our riders at the ranch. **Rained Out**
 
October 6th we were at the Brunswick Home Depot taking part in a childrens safety fair. We had Thundar with us.**Fun day - lots of children and their families visited with Thundar!**
 
November 3rd and 4th we set up our fair booth. Everyone had a wonderful time setting up! We won 3rd place this year and that gives our Renegade Riders' Club another $75.00! Way to go Renegades!
 
December 8th was our 2nd Annual Christmas Party with Santa! It was a wonderful time for everyone - lots of food, fun and fellowship! Thank-you to everyone who made this event such a fun one!

Recap of Events for 2006

The ranch hosted its First Annual Christmas Party on December 9th at the Brookman Recreation Building. Santa was there! This was a wonderful time for the children and the families - lots of fun, fellowship and food - despite the very cold weather at the start of the day!
 
     The ranch hosted its First Benefit Horse Show, December 2nd at Lamar Drury's arena in Brantley County. The show started a little late, but the Opening Ceremony was breathtaking with Stephen carrying the flag on Thundar! The Renegade Riders had a wonderful time at the show in part to the hard work of the Brantley County 4-H Horse Club! Thank-you to everyone who sponsored classes, came out and participated, volunteered and watched........  
           
     The Renegade Rider Club did a great job on their Glynn County Exchange Club Fair booth. The kids took home a Blue Ribbon (1st Place) for their efforts! Way to go Renegades!
 
     The children of the ranch went on a Dolphin Tour,Sunday,October 29th - thanks to Adam Sanders and Cap Fendig. Everyone had a wonderful time and we look forward to doing it again in the spring! Pictures coming soon......
 
Palmetto Oaks Horse Show 
Sept. 16, 2006 Woodbine, GA
     Our ranch took three horses, three ponies and 21 children to the show! We marched in the parade of athletes and took part in the opening ceremonies............. then it was showtime! All of the children had a wonderful experience thanks to Palmetto Oaks stables. For many of our children it was their first show and they had a terrific time in the showring. Our children won ribbons in every color!
